To make: Add packet to pan with 3 pints water. Bring to boil and then simmer for around an hour until the peas have softened. Add meat and extra veg if required and season to taste

This is a Scottish classic and packed with Leeks and lamb stock. A tasty soup that thickens even more if you keep what you can’t eat in the fridge… just add more water as required.

Ingredients: Scotch broth mix, dried leeks, dried mixed veg, yellow and green split peas, red lentils, barley, carrot, lamb stock, garlic and black pepper
